Assembly line for shaver bodies
For the NIVEA FOR MEN shavers-in Drachten, a new body-assembly line was created. Ergo-Design has realised together with Philips and a supplier a standardised modular robot cell.
This line has a high degree of automation and is based on a standardised robot cell. The modular design makes it possible to connect the transport and control of the robot cells, and create different lines. This creates a great flexibility for the future. Depending on the product build-up, the cells can be modified, added or omitted. Philips has applied standardised cell in more projects, creating a new standard for modular construction of production lines. After designing the standardised cell and line concept, Ergo-Design prepared the functional specification. Finally we managed the realisation up to the acceptance tests.
