Scania upgraded their assembly
capacity
Scania Nederland B.V. extended their production capacity from 95
to 150 trucks per day. Ergo-Design consultants supported Scania
through the years with this Masterplan project.
First step in the design of the new plant is the creation
of the Block Layout. Therefore 'Systematic Layout Planning' was
applied. This by Ergo-Design evolved method is used to compare various
alternatives based on investment, material flow, operational costs,
flexibility, etc.
With the selected Block Layout as result the next
steps in the Masterplan could be filled in, specifying and detailed
design of the blocks.
