Philips Drachten - Human centered workstation design
Ergo-Design is pleased to have a continuous relationship with Philips
Drachten, producer of worldwide known shavers. The workcell designed for
this project was developed closely with the operators and the local engineering
department. Within 4 days a well balanced choice could be made based on
efficiency, ergonomics and users. The visualisation of the line and various
workstation variants, time analysis and user interaction were supported
by the Delmia Process Engineer software. The operator population formed the basis for
the workstation design. Around the operator all the necessary equipment
was located in a logical and ergonomical way The result was an efficient
workstation with satisfied employees which needed no rework after implementation.
