New assembly cell at Nefit Industrial
Nefit Industrial, originally a casting company, has increasing additional
assembly activities. For a new type of central heater distribution unit
a assembly cell is developed by Ergo-Design. A combined optimum for Ergonomics,
Efficiency and Logistics was the objective.
After
a product and process analysis a logistics concept, containers and tools
were determined. In Delmia Process Engineer software a number of cell layouts was designed.
Feed back of the management and the employees based on the 3D layouts
a choice was made. Production leader Alberts of Nefit Industrial says
"Ergo-Design is strong in designing layouts of workcells and production
lines. With Delmia Process Engineer software concepts are easily visualised and calculated
so well choices can be well made within short time. Besides the integrated
logistics approach helps us to control our stocks." The project resulted
in a continuous relationship between Nefit Industrial and Ergo-Design.
Systematic Layout Planning of the whole assembly department was the next
project.
