Central Heaters 'on the run' through new assembly concept
Minimal costs for internal transport, a logical layout with overview and
growing flexibility. This is the result of a Systematic Layout Planning
performed by Ergo-Design at Nefit Buderus in Deventer.
Based
on a new production philisophy, material flows and relations between the
various departments in the central heaters production plant of Nefit Buderus
Deventer were analysed. A global layout plan is designed for minimal transport
movements and growing space for new product variants. This plan was created
in 3D in Delmia Process Engineer software which made communication with management and
suppliers very efficient and realistic. The complete implementation is
performed in 1999. The results show substantial capacity growth combined
with logistics cost reduction besides the ability to produce in mixed
flow.
