Holec Holland is a group of companies that produces a wide variety of medium
and low voltage switchgear systems and components. Based on operational
and logistical improvements an ambituous plan was made to integrate three
various plants on a greenfield location. The so called HOLEC in ONE project.
Ergo-Design supported Holec in their design process with expertise and
tools. Especially for the Low Voltage Plant global and detailed systematic
layout planning was performed in order allocate and size the warehouse,
production departments and workstations. The result is a well worked out
layout-plan with specific attention for working conditions, logistics
and flexibility for the future. Detailed space requirements for all departments,
efficiency optimizations and internal transport equipment and routines
were all part of an integral step change.
